My ex just had my baby

Reddit, I need your help. Me and my ex broke up 7 months ago. Since then, I’ve been able to use the negative energy to change everything in my life for the better. Everything was going swimmingly. New job, new apartment, new car, new life, new me (amirite). Then today, my ex told me that she just gave birth to our baby boy. We’ve been no contact, so my life has been turned upside down within hours. I’m going to ask for a DNA test, but the pictures have already convinced me he’s mine.I’ve only told my 2 best friends so far, and they’re as speechless and experience-less as I am. I need your help everyone. My family is supportive, but we are just barely getting past our familial struggles, and I am not ready to tell them. Anyone with any personal experience, or just any knowledge in general would be of huge help to me.Here are the facts: -He and his mother are healthy, most importantly-I can’t provide a lot right now financially, I can just give my emotional and physical presence/support.-I’m a white 25 y/o male with bachelors degrees. I kind of have all options open, even though I’ve just been working a job to pay the bills while I figure life out.-She wants me in his life. But she understands that I am tied financially right now. Student loans, car, apartment, insurance, etc., while she is living with her parents. She said she just needed to let me know, even though she tried to hide it all this time.-I want to do everything I can.-I have a new GF that I’m crazy about, and I see zero romantic future with the mom. Yet I still understand that we are in this for life now, and I’m here for it.Basically I’m terrified right now.
