MIL cut my baby’s hair and is lying about it!!!

She kept our 18 month old for the day last week. He was asleep when we got home and his hair is always crazy in the mornings so I didn’t notice until the next afternoon when she had already gone back home. (She was a barber for a long time and had already said something to the effect of ‘you better not let anyone else cut his hair’.) So, I texted her, “Hey! Did you give T a trim?” She said “No, I would never do that without you right there. You know I’m not that kind of MIL!” I left it at that and thought maybe it was just sitting differently, idk. Then, every single person we see from then til now mentions his haircut!! It’s killing me! My husband said welcome to his life (they do not have a great relationship but I want her to have a good one with our son)... he says she’s been doing things like this his whole life.
