I don't understand "picky eaters" or feeding kids "kid friendly food". I've always fed my kids whatever we're eating for dinner. If they don't like it that meal, oh well, they need to eat it anyways or pick whatever out and eat the rest. They are never given an alternative option. I do take their opinion into consideration for future meals, however. My kids are now 7 and 9 and will eat almost anything and will try everything given to them without complaint. It's great! But man dealing with other people's picky eaters is so annoying! And this is more of a gripe at society rather than parents specifically. The kid meal options at restaurants are always so boring and lame. This "kid friendly" food is forced upon you even if you don't want it.Am I alone in hating the idea of feeding kids different things???(I don't mean different if you feed them healthier. I'm guilty of not eating enough fruit but give lots to my kids)TLDR: I dislike society's concept of "kid friendly food" and wonder why parents give in to picky eaters. Does anyone share this parenting pet peeve?? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2Jsu0E3
