All right I am a 31 year old male who has never had any children of my own. However I recently was given temporary custody my 10 year old niece. She's currently living with me while my brother-in-law and sister go through and excessively messy divorce. However we've had a point where I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. Seeing as I have no real knowledge or know how when it comes to children I don't really know where to turn.My niece is one of these young girls who seems to have hit puberty several years too early. In fact she's already gone into breast development and has become I guess for the lack of a better term quite noticeable in that regard. Now I try telling her that everything that is happening to her as normal and she's not some kind of freak. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working very well. The other day she came home from school in tears because apparently many of the girls in her school harass her and have given her this complex of believing that She's suffering from some kind of deformity. One day she even begged me to let her stay home because she just didn't want to go to school. I managed to convince her to go to school but not even 3 hours later I had to come and pick her up because she was an absolute emotional wreck.I have no idea where to turn. My sister and brother-in-law are out of contact. I can't get a hold of either of them. My parents have long since passed away so I really have nowhere to turn.
