My daughter started JK this past fall. She didn’t have a single birthday party all of 2018, her birthday was in January, and since we still hadn’t received any birthday invites, we assumed that since the kids were all younger, no one was having friend parties for them. Then in February, we got an invite, we went, everyone had fun. March came, nothing. In April we had 2 parties. Now within the next few weeks there’s 2 in the same weekend and another one the weekend after that.Normally I would think to just pick the kids she seems to really hang out with. But my daughter is pretty social, and I’ve heard all of these kids names pretty equally. That said, there just seems to be so many. I’ve asked her which ones she’d like to go to the most (for which friend, not because of what they’re doing at the party) and my daughter says they’re all here friends, no real answer.so, where do you draw the line on birthday parties per year?Second question, how much do you usually spend on children’s birthday gifts? I usually went around $25. The one party I know was quite costly per child, so I did spend more on that one. But for a house/park sort of party what would you spend? Thanks everyone! via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2WZWFmO
