Several of my friends and acquaintances with children have mentioned that they are disappointed that their parents are not interested in helping raise the grandchildren.The grandparents are willing (only reluctantly) to babysit for a couple hours an evening or two but unwilling to mind the children for longer, saying that if they need to find child care, that they should hire a nanny. “We raised children, have moved past that part in our lives and don’t want to do it again” they would say. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2K4A7h8
