Bringing dogs to school events

I have two dogs, they’re the most beautiful Golden Retrievers anyone could ever wish for. They’re great around kids and are overall really lovely dogs.I usually take them everywhere that I deem as “dog friendly”. However, I am very aware that other people may not be comfortable around my dogs due to allergies or fears, and I respect that.Every day when I go to pick up my kid (9 year old), I bring the dogs with me. They are pretty placid dogs, they generally stay near me and don’t go “exploring” or anything. The kids absolutely adore the dogs, and it isn’t uncommon to see kids petting and cuddling the dogs.On weekends when my son plays soccer, I also bring the dogs along; its a great way for them to get some exercise. I make sure to put the dogs on a leash when it’s game time so they don’t race onto the field) and before the game / halftime I let them off to have a bit of a run around on the grass and to potty etc.I think that I’m pretty considerate of others, but another parent told me that the dogs were “causing havoc” at the soccer game. I had literally only let them off the leash for about a minute to have a wee, and that was it.I don’t know what to think. I’ve checked the school regulations, pets are allowed as long as they’re under control. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2I128n1
