He was Mr. Popular in elementary school and we relocated to a new area. He started middle school not knowing anyone, but I figured he would quickly make new friends. He did not. He didn't start making friends until 7th grade and now he's about to end the 8th grade and is no longer friends with the friends he made last year. I asked him what happened and all I get from him is "nothing." I suspect that he really didn't "fit in" because all these kids had been friends since grade school.
