Parents of high functioning autistic teenagers. How do you make sure your kids are safe in the hands of cops or law enforcement?

My youngest is 15 and on the autism spectrum. He is high functioning but pretty anti authority and doesn't always follow instructions right away. He is also very literal. My older son and him were pulled over because the cop thought they were driving without seatbelts and my 15 year old kept insisting they did nothing wrong to the cop (both had their seatbelts on). My 17 year old still followed the officers instructions and when they got home my 15 year old was upset because he said they should have ignored the cop since they did nothing wrong. He kept repeating the rights you have when you are pulled over and refused to listen to us on why he needs to do whatever the cop says no matter what.I'm really worried that one day cops will mistake his autism for something else. My kids are mixed race and part black but my younger son doesn't believe in racism so we can't go from that angle. He doesn't think someone is racist unless they use a racial slur. He has experienced racism but didn't think it was racist because the person never said the n word. We have showed him stories of people getting hurt or killed by police officers but he doesn't think that will happen to him because it hasn't happened to him yet. He also hates being touched and loud noises so I'm afraid he will have a negative reaction if he ever gets put in that situation. It was easy with my older two but autism complicates everything. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PbE6bw
