I was abused horribly as a child and because of this I don't like seeing childern spanked.My daughter and I had befriended a woman and her son. She spanked him very hard at the library today. In front of other moms and childern.I don't want to be friends with her anymore. Is that reasonable? Or is my prior abuse ruining my judgement? I also don't want to be associated with someone who spanked their kids in public. It was really inappropriate in my eyes. My mom at least waited or took me to "the little girls room" for a "chat."I know no one is perfect but because of my past I'm very good at not resorting to physical violence, but I know others can struggle with it.Is it okay to end a new friendship? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2EArRPM
