I know my title seems silly. My daughter is 19 months... she'll just forget and have no memory of the kitty as she grows up. That's what everyone tells me.However, my daughter is ridiculously attached to our cat. Kaylee (the cat) has been my foster kitten since she was just 2 weeks old. She's my first cat and is literally a chunk of my heart I never knew I was missing. I'm beyond devastated about her diagnosis. We don't know how much time she has left, it could be weeks or months (if we're lucky). She just turned 4 on 4/14/18. Kaylee was a attached to my side throughout my pregnancy and ever since our daughter came home from the NICU they've been inseparable. My daughter wakes up in the morning or comes home from daycare and immediately says Kaylee in her baby way and goes to find the cat and give her head bonks and kisses. When she's gone... I don't know how to handle it. There is going to be a chunk of time where my daughter searches for the cat and will get upset when she can't find her. Not to mention just hearing her say Kaylee's name and look for her will most definitely render me a sobbing mess. Can anyone share their experience?? Something you did to help your child during a time like this. I'm partially writing because it feels good to write but I really could use advice. As promised, cat tax https://ift.tt/2vs61OY via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HLj5l0
