Motherhood- an inexplicable journey.

One day you will wake up and realise - - you dont have to feed your baby. - You dont have to bathe and massage your baby. - You dont have to deal with dirty diapers any more. - You dont have to sing a lullaby. - You dont have to entertain your baby with toys. - You dont have to clean the mess around. - You dont have to wash and dry a heap of soiled clothes. - You dont have to cuddle and soothe your crying baby. - You dont have to walk tippy toes while your baby is asleep. - You dont have to swaddle your baby. - You dont have to sterilize everything ! - You dont have to keep a track of all the medicines to be given. - You dont have to buy nursing clothes or a feeding pillow. - You dont have to baby talk. - You dont have to safeguard your crawling baby with pillows all around. - You dont have to assist your baby to walk around. - You dont have to get up from the dinner table in between and run to your crying baby.So many things that had become a part of your routine since the day your baby was born will suddenly come to an end some day when he or she will grow up. Your baby will no longer be dependent on you for every little thing. That will be a time of joy as well as sorrow. Joy for the only reason that your baby has become capable of handling his or her life. Sorrow for the only reason that you will surely miss their tiny hands in yours. Their cute mumblings and toothless face! We can’t wait for our babies to grow up and once they really do we will surely miss cuddling them as we used to. So enjoy this motherhood phase while it lasts. Though tiring , always remember your child will be a baby for only once.
