It Takes a Village...

True story. This just happened.Lady in line at the liquor store with her kid. I felt so sorry for her. And I’m telling you, the emotion comes from experience (have three of my own). Her 2 year old was being quite the little 2 year old. They were a couple spots ahead of me, and this is how it went...Common scenario: kid won’t stand, lady’s dragging kid, frustrations and empty threats, etcetera etcetera. Finally mom lets go and says Ok, you can just sit there while I go ahead. Kid thinks this is kinda funny and gets comfortable. Now, as all parents know, you never let the enemy get the upper hand. So I saw an opportunity and I took it. Stepping quietly up behind the kid I loom over and peer down, clear my throat deeply of as much phlegm as I can, and generally try to look like a menacing stranger.Fckn worked like a charm.Kid jumped like I put fire under her ass. She ran for her mommy like hell was on her heels. I would have felt bad, but I was too damn pleased with myself.Raise a toast with me parents. 🥃The kid learned a valuable lesson. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2qkvvYG
