Background: I have an eleven year old daughter who is on a competitive year round swim team. The team practices for an hour and fifteen minutes per week. My daughter started having periods over six months ago.Now, once a month, she is missing an entire week of swim practice because she won’t wear a tampon. She complains of her times falling, and I tell her missing practice is the cause. I try to encourage her to try to wear the tampon, but she claims it doesn’t fit. I obviously can’t make her, and part of this is just a frustrated rant, but have any other parents come across this?
