Daughter is allergic to cats

So we have two cats that are 13 and 8 years old. They have been part of our family for a long time... We love them like children. Our daughter is almost 4 years old and has been having a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes for the last 1-1.5 years. We have been giving her Zyrtec for awhile and it helps a little. We had thought it was seasonal allergies as her symptoms seemed to wax and wane weekly/monthly/ seasonly... Would come and go.We recently had her tested at an allergist. Turns out the only thing she is allergic to are cats and dogs. Now she's on Flonase as well.... We've also done a lot of other things like clean her room thoroughly and frequently, keep the cats out, got a couple HEPA filter air purifiers (one is in her room), a Roomba that vacuums every day.Her symptoms are better, but not completely gone and they come and go... Sometimes the symptoms really bother her. We have no family members that can take the cats. Yet we can't bring ourselves to take them to a shelter. We don't know what to do. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2IX9gjr
