My son wets the bed nightly and has peeing accidents nearly every day. He also sometimes has fecal 'accidents', though these are mostly attributable to poor wiping. He is 9 years old (almost 10) and we are at our wit's end. Our elder son, who is 11, does not have this issue. We have tried reward systems, seen doctors, spent time in therapy, rigorously make him clean up his bed and self (so he doesn't become accustomed), pointed out how it affects his health and relationships...He is a bright, funny kid with no other serious behavioral issues. He does well academically and is well liked by his classmates, but we get calls from the principal at least twice a month complaining that he smells. He showers every morning and wears clean clothes, but has minor/just missed it accidents at school fairly regularly. His older brother has ASD, so we know the signs, and he is not autistic. He just doesn't seem to be willing to prioritize making it to the bathroom over whatever he's doing at the time. As for the night wetting, our doctor says not to worry at his age, but peeing every single night seems excessive. I worry he has a sleeping disorder.Have any of you dealt with this? If so, how did you address it? I'm going to make another appointment with his primary soon. What specialists or tests should I push for?Thank you for your help! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2nAKDR4
