About a year ago myself and my husband found a tiny stray kitten and adopted him. We got him to the vet where he got his shots, flea bath etc. And brought him home. My three year old daughter took a liking to him immediately and the feeling was apparently mutual. The kitten sleeps at the foot of her bed, will follow her around. My husband and i joke that he is her therapy animal and for the following reasons. Whenever my daughter is having a full blown meltdown if that kitten just so much as meows in her direction she will snap out of her toddler rage and go "Oh hi Ollie!" and proceed to hug him instead of staying upset. If she is in the middle of a night terror, he is the only creature able to snap her out of it. She'll go from wailing and not wanting to be touched to going "oh my sweet baby ollie, come here. i love my fuzzy heart kitty pie" (yes she really talks to him like that lol). There's something about her seeing him that automatically calms her down. Does anyone else have a child that reacts this positively to the pets at home? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2zbZzYW
