My daughter is 11mo, almost 1. I used to brag about how well she slept. By her self in a bassinet or pack n play next to our bed thru the night. But since around 9 months she has been waking up at least 5 times a night. Usually screaming. The only way to get back to sleep is for me to pick her up, my wife to feed her, or for her to sleep in bed curled up with my wife. Even the latter isn’t cutting it anymore. Our current routine, if you can call it that, is 1-2 naps a day. Around 8 we try to get her to sleep. Prior to that it’s bath (sometimes), pjs, read, and try to get her to relax. Most of the time she ends up running around for 20-30 minutes until she gets cranky enough to get tired. My wife then feeds her to sleep and she gets put in her pack in play mattress thing. She usually wakes up at least 1-2 times and can be comforted back in to bed. Then sometime around 12-2 she wakes up and will only go back to sleep after eating and only curled up with my wife. She then intermittently wakes up and has to be comforted until around 7AM.I’m absolutely losing it with this. I work a shifting schedule of mixed days and nights and sleep becomes absolutely vital. My wife is beyond losing it because she is the primary care taker and it really taking a toll.I have a week off coming up and the current plan is trying to let her cry it out. We’ve attempted a couple of times and she usually just cries for 30-45 minutes before one of us cracks. Please help. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2BNcRS2
