Toddler is scared of the car “going too fast”

My son is 2 and lately seems to be scared of the car “going fast” even if we aren’t actually going fast. Yesterday he spent 20 minutes saying “slow down” repeatedly while we drove on the highway, despite our reassurances that we weren’t going too fast and we were safe. He also does it on residential streets though, not just the highway.No idea why this started. I can deal with the annoying “slow down” being said on a loop, but I feel bad for him because he’s legitimately scared and asking for a hug and all that.Any advice on how to get him to relax a bit or similar stories? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2kTheR6
