Has anyone ever actually not gotten gifts for their poorly-behaved kid(s)?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever followed through on the threat to deliver the proverbial lump of coal to a kid who was consistently bad. If so, what was the result? Did he/she learn their lesson? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2BK6tef
