Warning graphics language ahead. We shouldn't feel this way about our child.. We shouldn't have the thoughts that we both sometimes do, my wife and I.. We both wanted at least two if not three kids until we had our first. Not anymore..Our daughter acts like the most spoiled Freakin brat ever. Which doesn't make sense because she's not that spoiled. Albeit she is an only child but... Jfc.This kid tries to dominate and control our lives. Prime example, yesterday she woke up, I was already awake so I warmly greeted her, gave her a hug and kiss and whatnot. She responds by asking for ice cream. Obviously I said no which resulted in an hour long meltdown Any time she doesn't get her way she's on the floor screaming at the top of her lungs and crying hysterically. We never give in.She's constantly asking for things. The other day she asked for milk, I obliged and gave her a cup. She downed it in an instant, then asked for chocolate milk. I said no and boom fuckin meltdown. We've tried everything from positive reinforcement to punishments and consequences and EVERYTHING in between to stop this behavior. She is constantly up our ass. We are her toys There is nothing we've found that will divert her attention off of us. We can't get any house work done while she's awake and by the end of the day we're so exhausted from the meltdown child being stuck up our ass all day that we can't get anything done. It's not like she's attention starved from us either. We try to play with her and engage with her all the time. But if we don't do it exactly the way she wants boom there's another fuckin meltdown. Like we don't want to play with you if it's gonna be like that or it's just gonna lead to yet another screaming match..I'm honestly amazed the police or dcs hasn't been called on us for how bad things have gotten. More times than I can count either my wife or I have stormed out of the house in a rage over the three hour meltdown because we told her she couldn't jump off the couch..We can't take this anymore. Somebody please wave the magic wand and tell me what to do because our lives are a living hell. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2sMwmCk
