This is my first time posting in this forum, please forgive me if I'm not following a rule.2 days ago while driving, my 2 1/2 year old daughter told me out of nowhere that her dad's live in pregnant girlfriend smacked her in the face. She was saying "smashed", so I clarified if she meant splashed with water, or smacked. She showed me with her hand that she smacked her on the face. I repeatedly asked why, & she kept saying because she was crying. I asked where her dad was, & she said at work. She is alone with his girlfriend for a few hours in the morning before she goes to daycare, 2 days a week. She has never made up a story along these lines before. She has always spoken fondly of his girlfriend, & I've never spoken badly about her in front of my daughter. The past month or so, anytime her dad is picking her up, she repeatedly says she wants to stay with me. She has cried when I've carried her out to the car, but I just wrote it off as being attached to me as her mother. This past week, she called me the day she went to their house.. She was crying & said she missed me.. Also never has happened before. I brought it up to her dad, which he immediately denied & wants me to take his word for it that his girlfriend would never do that. My worst fear is something happening to my child. She also told my mom about the incident the next day, again, out of nowhere. What should I do? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2s60v2p
