Would you hide a toy that causes a lot of drama and frustration?

My mother brought one of those step 2 push cars for 18 month old son. It has the push handle and son loves to be pushed around the yard. It was very thoughtful of her.Lately he wants to push it. Not a big deal. The problem is the terrain. We live in a rural area. No sidewalk, no close neighbors, and no driveway. Yesterday I had to fight the urge to throw it into the woods because he isn't strong enough to push it over limbs or up the grassy hills and naturally has huge fits because he can't push it.I have to awkwardly walk about 6 inches behind him and "help" push it. This means my feet get stepped on or I have to widen my stance and awkwardly push behind him until he gets distracted with something else.I could easily hide it until we go the park with a gravel path and much easier terrain (almost everyday that it is sunny). I'm not sure if tying a rope to the front and removing the push handle for him to pull it would make it any easier on him when at home.Would you hide a toy that caused this much awkwardness or suck it up and help him learn to navigate a little better? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2oiV78G
