Toddler keeps throwing food

Morning everyone.So like the title says, my toddler (16months) keeps throwing food from his tray when we are eating. I know this is normal behaviour but I am hoping you all might have some tips and tricks for things to say or do in order to help me stop this!When he is done eating he will rub his hands together and we say " all done". But often before that he will just start throwing everything. I tell him no each time. I've tried limiting how much food is on his tray and only adding more when he finishes the first bit. He also throws his cup about 50% of the time when he is done drinking but the other 50% will place it gently on the table!
