We are planning yet another trip with our toddler. While we managed to get by without renting a car on our last few trips, this time we're going to have to do it, which means we need a car seat that is easy to take on an airplane and easy to install in a rental car. Our existing car seat is bulky and horrendously difficult to install (we had to get the fire department to do it for us).
