A year ago today, I had surgery on my left testicle. It's a simple procedure called a varicocelectomy, and it was to repair a defect that was hampering my fertility. Not too tough a procedure; in between a vasectomy and a hernia surgery. But still, not a fun recovery. Now, we did not expect my fertility to improve for about three months, because that's how long it takes sperm to fully mature. So it was a surprise when, about a month and a half later, my wife skipped a period, and our son was born on New Years Eve. So we conceived before my fertility-improving surgery had had a chance to kick in.In other words, on April 1st last year, I had unnecessary surgery on my testicle, which means that the greatest April Fools Day prank ever pulled on me was by my son when he was a zygote. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2nqPjGy
