I may have accidentally hurt two babies.. Please help


Hi, I am 20 years old and was recently hired as a caregiver of babies at a daycare. I think I fucked up. I've never really worked with babies before or been trained on how to work with them. Here's where I fucked up big time according to my research. I know that with adult males they are supposed to clean under the foreskin to stay hygienic. I did NOT know you couldn't do that to babies. I know. After researching, apparently this is a huge no no and I should have asked if I was uncertain. But I honestly didn't think I was doing anything wrong at all! We have two uncircumcised babies at my work. I really am hoping I didn't hurt them. I feel sick to my stomach knowing I could have hurt them. I also don't wanna get in trouble. This is a new job for me. I feel like quitting immediately but I'm obviously not going to do that. It was purely me not knowing and it wasn't malicious. But I don't want the center to get sued or anything for not training me. A million thoughts are racing through my mind and I'm close to having a panic attack. The babies are 3 months and 10 months. The young one I noticed a tiny bit of blood and it looked like a tear on his penis on the tip of the foreskin today. I told his mom and she looked horrified. This made me think maybe I did something wrong and I looked it up. The other baby has also had a bit of redness on his penis for two days. His parents took him to the doctor today. Same with the 3 month old. So I will know in like 9 hours what happened at the doctor. I live in Washington state in the us. Should I go straight to my principal/boss and try to explain myself before anyone looks into it? If it helps them fix the babies penises if I say what I did, I will gladly tell the parents myself, as heartbreaking as that would be. I want to make sure they are safe. I feel HORRIBLE. I don't want to get investigated or sued or get the school in trouble or have the children un-enroll. Please help! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2oMJaX2
