Parents of Reddit. What strategies do you use to calm down your kids ?

I have found that computer games and tv in the morning make my son hyped up. After some Trial and error I have found that holding off gaming until later and spending time with him doing an activity that requires thought and human interaction with an adult or calm child makes him much calmer and well behaved and able to handle computer games. I have found that Lego for this or painting miniatures works well . Do any of you parents of Reddit have other strategies that you have used with your own children ? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2i5YTN1
