3yo's birthday and gift giving

My son is turning 3 and we're having his first party with family and cousins. Lots of people. An acquaintance of the family will be there, a single mom. She wants to know what to get him and I would love to tell her that she doesn't need to bring a gift. Reason: HE HAS SOOOOO MANY TOYS and will be getting SO MANY MORE because the grandparents and his 6 aunties will all be showering him with gifts. The reason why he has "too many" toys already is because I run a daycare and we're constantly being given toys and play equipment and books and one set of grandparents are out-of-control hoarders who bring a carload every month... it's just too much. hahaBut is there an effective way to tell her she isn't expected to buy him something? I suppose if I were told that I'd still bring a gift because I wouldn't want to be the jerk who showed up to a kid's party empty-handed. :-( via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2juL9fm
