My oldest, aged 14, has recently gotten into the horror genre. He reads a lot of horror novels, which we are okay with. As far as I am concerned any time you can get a teenager to willingly read novels, your winning the battle. It started with Dracula then some Stephen King (IT and The Shining). The last book he checked out from the library is The Haunting of Hill House.Lately he has been writing his own short horror stories and creating horror mini films using his siblings. We got him a new camera for Christmas and he's been using it to stage horror scenes. Last night his 8 year old sister pretended to be murdered in the tub for a mini film they made. Fake blood and everything. Both were happy with the outcome but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Is this just a normal phase? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/31qzzZO
