If your school does this, how many parents here actually wind up going out to buy costumes or accessories for this event? When I don’t, and we put together a costume at home, there are inevitably lots of kids who have store-bought outfits and then mine feels left out but I feel like I’m teaching my child to waste money if we go out and buy costumes for the week as we could easily spend $60 or more for just basics alone.
