How to prepare a young toddler for a sibling?

I've found articles about this but most of them seemed to be aimed at 3ish year olds who will understand things a bit better. My son will be 2y2mo when my daughter is born. He is a Mamas boy right now and a snuggler. I have a lot of guilt that I will loose time with him when baby is here. How can I best prepare him for a sibling? How can I make him feel like a helper?
