My senior was recently accepted early to one of his top choice colleges and offered a prestigious scholarship. We are so proud of him and planned on celebrating his acceptance as part of his graduation party. Since we announced his acceptance to family and friends they have all asked how we celebrated. When we said that we were including that as part of his party after he graduates, you would have thought I said we were going to cut all of his limbs off. People thought it was weird that we weren't celebrating this accomplishment. We went out to eat and told him that we were proud but that was the extent of it. Should we have done more? He is our first so I know however we react will set a precedent for our younger three. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2wKaeyE
