I'm just so proud and want to share this. As a creative person myself I enjoy spending time drawing and painting with and for my baby girl (1 year 8 months old currently). She has had a pretty firm grip on the pencil since 11 months old but today she drew a cat face* out of a circle I drew for her, all the while describing her every move: "eye -- Eye" [dot dot] "mouth! mouth mouht mouth" [clumsy scribble but in the right place], eaar, eaaR! [another two appropriately placed scribble-dots]. Just excellent. Even caught it on video, since she did it a few times over after the first try. So fun, I already wonder what she'll draw next. What are the little firsts that your kids have done that have made you just unreasonably proud and joyful, like somehow even more than usually?* I know the first one was a cat because she loves cats (we have two) and I have drawn her countless of cats, specially quick little faces. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2tof573
