I was getting her ready for pre-k this morning. She loves wearing her silver sparkly shoes- because you know she's 3.5 and everything needs to be sparkly. She picked up her sneakers and I said oh no sparkly shoes? She said her friends don’t like them so I’ll wear sneakers. Head down and walked to the couch to get them on. I was like listen. it doesn't matter what your friends like. all that matters is that you like them. if they make you happy that is all that matters. She was so defeated and just wanted to wear the sneakers.I know she needs to figure these things out on her own but it just hurts. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/36mu28b
