I went to pick up my child yesterday at daycare. Each day he gets a dum dum sucker at the end of the day for being good. Well, yesterday, I walked in and said “ did he have a good day” the “teacher” responded with “it was okay, he was a little grumpy when he woke up from his nap though” and when he walked over to get his candy she said “no JoJo maybe tomorrow you didn’t have a good day today”. THIS pissed me off because he can’t even talk in sentences yet. He’s been teething and for all know, his teeth could have been hurting. Maybe he didn’t feel good. Maybe he was being a HUMAN and having a not so pleasant day. I felt very offended and since the director wasn’t there I texted her and told her please either give it to him daily or not at all because he didn’t understand why he didn’t get candy when everyone else did, he just knew he was being left out! She never responded and i don’t know if I’m over reacting... parents what do you think? And I crazy or is this cruel?I also want to say I agree with awarding him for using the potty and I agree with discipline. If he’s bad I feel he should be placed in time out OR have the toy he is playing with taken away until he can share or be nice. But not giving candy hours after he “woke up moody” doesn’t seem right via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2WmL04k
