My little boy is a year and 4 months and I've been working with him since day 1 to teach him to be nice to the cats - taking his little hand and helping him pet. He's gotten that down, but we're now in "toddler territory." When one of the cats is on my lap or in his little chair, he'll sometimes get jealous and pull a tail to get them down. I correct him, of course. Two of the cats do nothing. They don't hiss, swat, or nip. The third cat is a bit less forgiving - just gave him a slight warning nip. Not hard enough to even make little man cry. I'm just letting it happen. I don't allow him around animals without supervision - for his safety and theirs - and I'm going to continue to correct him if he acts up, but as long as Mickey isn't actually hurting him, I'm going to let the natural consequences happen. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2QgBTg8
