I found out tonight that my oldest son didn’t make his travel hockey team he was on last year. As an adult I understand things happen and players make it one year and not the next. But it’s absolutely heartbreaking knowing that I have to tell him tomorrow after school that he didn’t make it and knowing how much it meant to him. This will be a challenge for sure and I hope he comes out better for it and doesn’t want to quit the sport altogether. As a parent you want to protect your child from things and you never want to see them cry. And that it what bothers me the most, is knowing ahead of time and not being able to do anything about it.Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2WaYUXv
