“I’m going to tell my teacher you’re being mean to me!”

My 5 year old just shouted that at me. Why? Because Her bedtime is 8:30 and it was 9:30 and she was running around grabbing toys and refusing to go to her bed. So when I turned the lights off and told her she needed to go bed right now, she retorted with that. I don’t know where she heard that before or got it from. All I know is that she’s finally asleep after saying she hates me a few times and I’m sitting on her bed silently crying next to her. Why would she say that? She has no idea how dangerous saying that to a teacher can be if you’re not actually being abused...Im a good mom..I don’t hit her, and I try so hard to not even raise my voice at her.. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2WidBbf
