Telling my daughter the truth about some things

Hey, parents.I've recently been having discussions with my 4.5 year-old daughter who has become quite inquisitive over the last month or so. It's sort of gone like this:"Daddy, why don't you have a mommy?" - Well, my Mommy died before you were born. She's been gone a long time."Daddy, am I going to die some day?" -Babes, everyone eventually dies, but you probably won't die until you're older than grandma! You're very healthy and you're safe from most things that people die from."Daddy, at church they talked about God How many gods are there?" -Well, different people believe in different things. Our church lkes to believe in one God and his son Jesus. People called Muslims believe in one God named Allah, some people believe in God called Buddha, and some people called Hindus believe in hundreds of Gods. Some people don't believe in any Gods."Daddy, why do we believe in one God? And is that God a girl because girls are the best." -I guess we believe what we believe because that how your Mommy and I were kinda raised...and yes, you can call God a girl if you want."Daddy, if people die do they go to heaven? What's heaven? What is there? Can people visit heaven?" - Some people believe that after people die they go to Heaven where they get to meet all of their friends and family that already died. Heaven is supposed to be a perfect place with nothing scary. The conversation continued on past this point, and has come up a few times since.Does anyone else deal with "big questions" from your kids? If so, what do you think the best way to answer those questions is?EDIT: Sorry for any typos via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2JafaxP
