So I told my 21 month old son "you can only watch videos on the toilet" to induce him to sit on it since he was a little afraid of it.He wants to sit on the toilet ALL day and watch videos EXCEPT when he needs a poo in which case he freaks out and tries to get down. We've explained that poo goes in the toilet and AFTER doing a poo he will always request to sit on the toilet. Sometimes he does a little pee in there but a very small quantity (whereas his nappy will fill up quickly when he is wearing one so I think he's holding it in when he is on the toilet).He literally has been sitting on it for half an hour and doesn't want to get off because he's getting to watch videos but he hasn't... done anything... (and he already pooed today so I don't think that will happen).We're not officially potty training yet because I'm planning to do all sticker charts and the whole shebang when I get the courage to give a good go of it (I plan to take the nappies away except at sleep time then so I want to be SURE I am ready for the mess lol) but I'd love him to poo in the toilet just once... via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2H2QnLe
