Oldest kid is 11 years old. She's always generally been healthy, but not the smallest in her class- just middle of the road. She eats well- lots of healthy foods and some occasional junk food. I'm the mom, and I think she's fine. The pediatrician thinks she's fine. The trouble begins with Husband's family. They seem very focused on thinness. When it's been directed at me, I shut it down properly, and I'm an adult, I can handle myself.Recently, Mother in law saw a photo of oldest kid on FB and called to tell me how "skinny and beautiful" kid looked. She also mentioned this to husband in a phone call a week later. The repeat of this comment means it's stuck in her head, and she's going to repeat it again and again.I'd like help to figure out A. how to shut this down with MIL and B. How to insulate my kid from these types of conversations. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HQ5U2j
