She believes that her 4yr old son is too young to care about Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc so she and her husband don’t celebrate the holidays at all. They say it’s a waste of money so they’re going to wait till he’s older. I understand that my child (5yrs) might not have understood what those events were all about when we started celebrating them as a family when he was born but we still felt it was important to introduce him to holidays at a young age. We did it because they were important to us personally and we hoped they would be fun and memorable and maybe, one day, they would mean something to him too. How do you feel about this?
