My poor 3 year old has norovirus (his daycare is in "outbreak" status per public health). We were notified of the outbreak yesterday afternoon (he had no symptoms), but it hit full force at bedtime last night. It seems like every time he nods off, he vomits within 15 minutes. The poor kid is exhausted. He's now fighting sleep because he doesn't want to throw up.He drank nothing between 4pm and 7am, had a small amount of water this morning, then a small, light snack on his request, the lost it all an hour later and has refused water since.I'm a little concerned about dehydration, he vomits until there is nothing left, then a bit later continues to dry heave with nothing to get out. I've never seen him this sick and miserable.Google is helpful as always: "kids dehydrate fast, don't let them dehydrate," etc.I just want him to be able to get some sleep and keep down some water.Update: after vomiting twice more (just saliva) he fell asleep. He is still producing tears. I'll monitor him when he wakes and will seek medical attention if necessary. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HmH6Ru
