Day care put my child in a bathroom as a time-out place

Hi I am new to this thread and hoping that you can help us with this. We have a 4yrs toddler boy and he has some trouble with going to pre-school. We are seeking help with Kennedy Krieger to cope with his anxiety. The pre-school also got some help from the county, someone came to the day care and observed my son's behavior, one of the suggestion was to putting my son into a quiet place for time out and have family photos with him.The other day, I found out (from my MIL-who usually picks him from daycare) that they had put my son into a bathroom for time out because he has been crying non-stop.I can understand that they put him into a quiet place... but in a bathroom? It is just not so clean and not very sanitary. Is this a typical thing to do as a daycare? should I have a chat with the school administration?Edit: The teacher did not allow my son to get out of his cot after his nap until he puts his shoes back on.
