Are you strict about enforcing eye-contact when speaking sternly to child?

I don't want to overthink this but part of me thinks this could cause trouble later in life. When correcting my 2year old boy or 4 year old girl, they naturally want to look off or down as they take correction. I've taken to saying hey--look me in the eye--and making sure they do, sometimes it takes a few times. HOWEVER, is this necessary? or, could this cause defiance problems later in life? What do you do? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2GELWG9
