I have a lovely but very stubborn 3 year old boy. He loves the park, library, children’s museum and other places like that once he’s there at the place. But he hates leaving the house to get there. When he’s saying he doesn’t want to go, should I make him anyway since I know he’ll have fun once we’re there?Usually goes like this:Mom: “Hey, let’s to the park and play on the slides and stuff!” Stubborn Boy: “No, I stay here and play with my toys” Mom: “Your toys will be here when we get back, let’s go have some fun!” SB: “No, I not go. I want to play toys/sand/playdough”I try to reason with him, tell him about all the fun things we could go do but he will adamantly refuse. I’ve tried giving him options and letting him pick where we go but he just wants to stay home. If I make him go somewhere he will cry the whole way there but once he’s there he enjoys himself.Anyone else have a kid like this? I feel so bad making him go but I also know sitting in the house all day isn’t good for him. I don’t want him to feel like he doesn’t have any control of his life but I don’t want him to be a shut in either.TLDR: Kid does want to leave the house but has fun when he does. Should I make him? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2HNWdQJ
