My 3 years old plays the victim when he physically hurt us

Everytime he hurt us physically (not often, mostly when he gets too excited playing), we make it clear that what he just did was bad, but then he immediately tries to shift the focus towards him, saying that he’s also hurt (his hand that he use to hit us), despite being obviously false.
