Is it just me or are clothes a really *bad* gift to give someone's kids 99% of the time?

It might just be us, but we have gotten so many clothes for our girls that wind up getting donated or just tossed out without ever being worn. My wife loves to shop for clothes for them and she has a good style and knows how to get nice stuff for cheap. So over the years it seems like whenever people ask what to get them for holidays, we usually say no gifts necessary, but if they insist, we ask for toys for them. We have even explained that they already have so many clothes. But for some reason, a lot of people just buy them anyway. They're usually really cheap and not the kind of thing my wife would put them in anyway so it's just like WHY? And the kids hate getting clothes too. It's a total bummer for them. Anyone feel the same? The only time clothes are good is when it's something really genuinely nice and unique, like the time my sister went to the UK and brought back some really unique stuff for our little one. That was cool. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2tseXyr
