We're not the first to have problems with a MIL not following our parenting plan. We do CIO at naptime, and as a SAHM I started dropping our son off once a week for the afternoon to get a break. At first, she would rock him or let him sleep on her. Now that he's one, she still won't put him in his crib. She tells me that she puts him down, but once he starts crying she goes right in and picks him up, and keeps playing or tries rocking. I thought it was normal grandma behavior, but she made a comment to my husband that makes me think she never wants him to cry at her house, because she always wants him to be happy at her house.
